K. W. Brown Ministries, Inc thanks each and every one of you who continue to support the vision of The Elder’s House. Many of you have consistently given to The Elder’s House on a weekly basis. Thank you so much!! We want to keep you informed of all that is going on and where we are in the process.
As you know, The Elder’s House is a ministry of K. W. Brown Ministries, Inc. a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non- profit. As such, all of your donations are tax deductible. The Elder’s House is however, seeking its own individual tax exempt status. We have successfully incorporated The Elder’s House which is the first step in the tax exempt process. We are currently in the process of applying for its Tax Exempt status from the IRS.
We have located a building that we would love to purchase and renovate for The Elder’s House. The initial estimated cost to purchase and renovate the building is $1.5 million. Therefore, we will be hosting The Elder’s House Weekend Fundraising Gala October 4th and 5th. The Weekend Fundraiser will include a golf tournament, a comedy show, a walk-a-thon, and a sneaker ball. We are excited about the potential celebrities who will be joining us for this weekend gala. Once we receive written confirmation of their attendance we will surely announce. So mark your calendars and plan to join us the entire weekend!
We are also beginning the process of applying for our group home licensing. Whew, we did not realize how extensive this process would be. We have been informed that this process could take ten to twelve months! We have made the executive decision after having many meetings with professionals in this field to engage a paid individual who has expertise in this area to do the licensing process along with us. This is not a cheap endeavor. Therefore we REALLY need your donations to continue to come in as it is surely taking money to make this vision a reality. We believe God will provide the provision and that provision will come from God through those of you to whom God has blessed and have a heart to help young ladies and men who otherwise would not be helped. So again, we thank you for your overflowing generosity.
