The Elder’s House Youth Empowerment Center provides the guidance, tools, and encouragement teens may need so that they can mature into positive independent adults upon graduation from high school.  The Elder’s House Youth Empowerment Center will be able to provide the safe and nurturing environment these teens need during the important stages of their lives.  Our goal is to ensure that the teens upon graduation from high school can attend college, join the military, or enter into some vocational training.

Testimonials

“The Elder’s House was there for me when no one else was.”

“My son was given an opportunity to work and has exhibited a strong work ethic, has a better attitude and a more positive outlook on life, is graduating with honors from his High School, attending college in the fall …”

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the experience our ELG girls had this summer at the Elder’s House and the graduation at Signet.  Everything was absolutely first class!  I appreciate your vision, and just know that the girls are still talking about it in Memphis, Atlanta, Baltimore, Greensboro, and several other cities.”

About The Elder's House

It has always been our passion and vision to assist teens by providing them with opportunities to remain focused in life enabling them to become successful, productive, and spiritually mature adults.  We provide training and mentoring on financial topics, life skills assessments, mental wellness, goal setting, individual counseling, coaching, educational academic tutoring and other topics needed.  We believe it takes a village to raise teens and therefore it is our desire to partner with parents and provide the needed resources they may need as they aspire to raise their youth.

In response to the growing trends of potential at-risk teens in need of our services and our personal desire to see children achieve their highest potential, The Elder’s House was birthed. The Elder’s House is a safe and nurturing facility for youth, ages 12 to 18 years old.  In order to increase our impact on a larger number of teens, in 2020 The Elder’s House became a Youth Empowerment Center to offer the above services to youth in middle through high school.

The Elder’s House Youth Empowerment Center will provide programming that includes after school intensives as well as weekend overnight intensives during the school year, and week-long overnight intensives during the summer.  The facility is currently designed to accommodate overnight stay groups of up to 16 youths.  The home-like facility includes an innovative Computer/STEM lab with SMART technology, multiple classroom settings to hold intensives, recreational outlets, a state of the art kitchen, overnight sleep accommodations, and offers work space for adult supervision.

It is our vision to have The Elder’s House Youth Empowerment Centers in every city that there is a Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church campus.  We respectfully ask each of you to pray for, and be in agreement for, the success of this major endeavor.  Please seek God on how you may be able to be a blessing to those teens who desperately need The Elder’s House in order to have a nurturing and enriching environment, that we so often take for granted.

Thank you in advance for your support.
